Erin MacDonald
Managing Director, Registered Funeral Director, Embalmer, Justice of the Peace
Erin’s passion started very young, approaching a Funeral Home at 16 to be told she was far too young!
Becoming a NZ Registered Comprehensive Nurse at 19, specialising in Operating Theatre Nursing was a temporary stepping stone to reaching dreams and goals.
Pursuing Mortuary skills and training at the Rotorua Hospital lead to 12 years as Senior Mortuary Technician, assisting the community with Post Mortem Service for the Bay of Plenty.
Experiencing an opportunity of Funeral Directing for several years gave her reassurance that this was truly where her career pathway should lead.
With the support of her family her dream of providing relaxed, caring, homely yet professional Funeral Care came true, opening her own boutique Funeral Home in 2007.
Erin is married to George and is Mum to Nikita (and Parris) and Glamma to Zeivian.
Jonathon (Jono) Long
Funeral Director, Embalmer
Jono’s career background is filled with extensive Customer Service care.
Jono previously worked within the Security Industry, joining Mountain View Funeral Services in 2016.
Growing up in Rotorua and attending Whakarewarewa Primary School gave him an appreciation of our diverse multi-cultural community and easily blends into individual family needs.
A rare opportunity came his way to join our team soon after losing his Dad giving him an understanding of this unique industry. His exceptional caring, kind qualities has made him an outstanding team member.
A self-confessed workaholic has meant Jono has total dedication to his families and Mountain View Funeral Services.
When Jono is not working you may see him over at the beach taking in the sun, sand and waves or walking down the road trying to find his cats.
Parris MacDonald
Managing Chief Comforter
Parris has been going to work with her Mum since a baby and has become a passionate comforter and distraction to families during their journey with Mountain View Funeral Services.
She loves to meet and greet and is very fond of checking out the contents of handbags, she gives attention if wanted and happily wanders off to bed if ignored.
