As the name suggests, Mountain View Funeral Services is set in a friendly, relaxed, homely environment, a peaceful park-like area with extensive native planting which merges seamlessly into the foothills of Mount Ngongotaha. Designed to give comfort to our families dealing with the stress of loss and grief.

Opened in 2007, Mountain View Funeral Services has very much been a family ‘undertaking’ with ideas and plans created from our family vision.

A major part of the landscape work and tree planting was done by my parents, Ron and Margaret Robson, my brother Darryl and my husband George. We also lovingly modified the existing on-site 1940’s dwelling on the fringes of the Rotorua township, creating a comforting homely environment.

The same love, care and attention to detail afforded by my family remains today, winning the 2012 Westpac Rotorua Business Excellence Awards in the ‘Service Provider’ category.

Our Unique Setting

We are blessed to be semi-rural and away from the hustle bustle of the township but close enough to be easily accessible.

Families and visitors immediately feel the comfort of the relaxed country setting without the clinical commercial feel and look of a typical Funeral Home environment.
